A WWE wrestler, John Cena in January and was rumored to be ready to star in a film adapted from the old video game franchise that is Duke Nukem. The rumor now seems to have turned into reality.
When interviewed by Cinema Blend, the producers of the live action film Duke Nukem, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller officially confirmed John Cena's involvement in the movie. But for now, they claim to still have not finished making the script of the movie Duke Nukem. When asked about the big picture of the film, both Form and Fuller explained that the nuances of the Duke Nukem movie are somewhat inspired by Tim Miller's Deadpool movie. Duke himself will be described as a character who has an extreme sense of humor and also misoginis as in the game version.
Looking at John Cena who is publicly known to have the image of being a good person among children and women, it's hard enough to imagine him playing such a rugged and rude character like Duke Nukem. On the one hand, although Form and Fuller have confirmed the existence of John Cena in the movie, but they also revealed that Cena could have canceled his plan unilaterally in starring in the movie Duke Nukem if he feels disagree with script script he saw.
John Cena himself is still actively wrestling at WWE. He is currently scheduled to compete against Undertaker at Wrestlemania 34. Even in his final promo on RAW's weekly show yesterday, he began to slightly change his personality to be tougher and emotional in order to challenge the Undertaker.
